Can you visit the farm?
Yes, you are always welcome to make an appointment for a visit. We have many visitors all year round and we are very honoured and pleased that so many are interested.
What can you see and hear?
A visit typically consists of a presentation and a company tour. You hear the story about the company and how the business has become what it is today, little about the market we are dealing with, and about future strategies.
Then you will go for a walk around the company, the machine shed, workshop, warehouses, packing area, egg production, farm shop, pass by a vegetable field and have a look at the biogas plant.
The tour can vary according to the time of year, what activities are going on and the group’s preferences.
It is possible to organize a visit that relates to a sepcific subject if there is a special interest.
Season?
The summer period is most popular for visits, as there are activities everywhere, both in the vegetable fields and in the packing facilitities. And of course there are always the egglaying hens – but they are wandering outside year-round.
The time of the day for a visit – is the daytime.
The Maansson Farm Shop is open all days at 7-20. There is self-service. There are toilets at the farm shop, also with access for the disabled. Read more about the farm shop here.
Price?
A visit typically takes about 2 hours and costs 2,500 DKR incl. VAT for groups up to a maximum of 40 people.
We can also accept larger groups, and here the price is 2,500 DKK incl. VAT for up to a maximum of 40 people, then 50 DKK per person thereafter.
Additionally, there may be catering costs and time allocated for this.
Catering?
It is possible to get food and drinks on-site. In connection with the Farm Shop, we have reconstructed a barn (formerly a henhouse), which now serves as a cozy meeting- and conference facility. Here we often meet visitors upon arrival to give an initial presentation.
We have the option to serve an organic meal, primarily based on the farm’s own products – the extent is primarily based on your preferences, but a menu plan will be provided upon request. Everything is organic, and the food is prepared on-site. We have the Organic Cuisine Gold Label.
Requests for catering, whether it’s coffee and cake, a cheese sandwich, or a lunch platter, are arranged in advance.
